Tommy Dorsey, "The Sentimental Gentleman", was unsurpassed as a bandleader during The Swing Era of American popular music. From 1935 to 1956 the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra was recognized as the greatest dance band, swinging with the best and beyond compare when setting the mood with a romantic ballad. Frank Sinatra's popularity skyrocketed while singing with Dorsey, and, with Sinatra's vocals, the band became more successful than ever. Today's One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra continues this great tradition for audiences worldwide, and fans of all ages.
